Darren Tomlinson, from Salford, was jailed for 10-and-a-half years for the historic abuse he committed against his victim. The victim, now an adult, bravely told the court of the devastating toll her ordeal continues to have, but said Tomlinson's conviction gives her 'closure'.
In an emotional speech, she said: "My story has finally been told, and people have listened. "With that, I have the closure I desperately needed to move forward." Manchester's courts are some of the busiest in the country with a vast array of cases heard every week.
