Ordering a less-than-impressive haul from your favourite online retailer can be really disheartening - but sometimes, the vision you had in your head was just not meant to be.Thankfully, many online shops, such as ASOS, offer free returns, so if that dress you've been lusting over for weeks doesn't look great, you can seal it back up and return it at your convenience.
However, not all retailers offer that service, and some will charge a flat fee to generate a QR code to send something back.
But one retailer, Oh Polly, has a tiered returns policy that has left some shoppers "gobsmacked". The policy on Oh Polly's website reads: UK customers: If you are returning for a refund, please see our handling fees below.
Fees are based on your previous return rates from the past 12 months: 0-50% of orders returned = £2.99 50-70% of orders returned = £4.99 70-80% of orders returned = £6.99 80-90% of orders returned = £7.99 90-100% of orders returned = £8.99.
