Man Utd drop all Mason Greenwood merchandise from club website after arrest

Manchester United have dropped all merchandise involving Mason Greenwood after he was taken into police custody to be quizzed on suspicion of rape and GBH.All attire featuring the 20-year-old has been taken off United’s online store after the forward was arrested by Greater Manchester Police on January 30.The England international had previously been one of the players from which fans could choose on a drop-down menu on the site, but the No.11's name has since disappeared.Even searches of the striker just show a message saying: "Sorry, your search for Mason Greenwood did not match any products."After allegations were made on social media in a series of posts - which have since been deleted - on a woman's Instagram account, Greenwood was detained in custody on Sunday.United initially released a statement saying they did not “not condone violence of any kind.”This was followed by a statement that read: "Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.”A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were made aware of online social media images and videos posted by a woman reporting incidents of physical violence."An investigation was launched and following enquiries we can confirm a man in his 20s has since been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault."He remains in custody for questioning.
