Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

A man cancelled his daughter's 16th birthday party after giving her repeated warnings about her bad behaviour - however, she failed to be good and almost hospitalised one of her friends.

Sharing his story anonymously, the man said that he had promised his daughter she could have a party if she performed well in school and stayed out of trouble.

Everything was going well and they organised a celebration, but then the man received a call from his daughter's teacher and was told that she had snuck a water bottle full of alcohol into school, The Mirror reports.The man was appalled and and punished his daughter, in part by cancelling her birthday bash - and while some have said that this was harsh, he has stood behind the decision.

Taking to the platform Reddit, he said: "My daughter has been struggling keeping her grades up and hanging out with the wrong crowd.
