Chloe Bennet has landed a brand new movie role!

Ethan Shanfeld Chloe Bennet will join the Jonas Brothers in their upcoming Christmas comedy movie for Disney+. The “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Interior Chinatown” actor will play Joe Jonas’ love interest in the film, which is slated for the 2025 holiday season. Variety announced the project, which has the working title “Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie,” on Tuesday.

Ethan Shanfeld The Jonas Brothers are reuniting with Disney to produce and star in a Christmas comedy movie, slated for the 2025 holiday season. In the film, which has the working title “Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie,” Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas “face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families,” per the logline. Oscar winner Jessica Yu (“Quiz Lady” and “This Is Us”) will direct the movie, which hails from 20th Television (a part of Disney Television Studios) and writer-producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (“I Want You Back,” “This Is Us” and “Love, Simon”).

The Hilary Duff-led “How I Met Your Mother” spinoff concluded its second (and now final) season July 11 without revealing who Duff’s character, Sophie, ended up having a child with.

There will be no third season for How I Met Your Father. Hulu has canceled the Hilary Duff-led sequel series after two seasons, Deadline has confirmed.

Legendary! How I Met Your Father has yet to reveal who the father actually is — but fans are beginning to speculate the answer  may not be who it first seemed.

Neil Patrick Harris is set to reprise his star-making role of Barney Stinson on the upcoming mid-season finale of the Hulu original spinoff series “How I Met Your Father.” Harris was a main cast member and a fan favorite on the original CBS comedy series “How I Met Your Mother,” which ran for nine seasons after debuting in 2005. Harris earned four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series over the course of his tenure with the show, in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Harris will appear in next week’s two-episode mid-season finale of “How I Met Your Father,” which debuts on Hulu on March 28. After the duo of installments, the series will take a hiatus for a few weeks before continuing its 20-episode second season on May 23.

Hulu’s “How I Met Your Father” will make its linear debut next month on Freeform, marking the first time the series has been available off of Hulu. “How I Met Your Father” will bow Tuesday, April 25, on Freeform, starting with the first two episodes, “Pilot” and “Fomo,” at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET, respectively. Episodes will continue to air back-to-back each week, culminating with the season finale on May 23. Hulu will continue to also offer “How I Met Your Father” episodes for streaming as well. “How I Met Your Father” premiered in January 2022; the comedy is currently in the midst of a 20-episode Season 2, having returned earlier this winter.

Angelique Jackson Following their collaboration on “I Want You Back,” Amazon Studios is re-teaming with filmmakers Jason Orley and Isaac Aptaker on a yet-to-be-titled comedy. Orley will direct the new project from a script by Aptaker, based on a story they wrote. While plot details are being kept under wraps for the film, Amazon Studios landed the project in a preemptive deal based on the success of “I Want You Back,” from Orley, Aptaker and producer Elizabeth Berger. Aptaker and Berger will produce the new film via their The Walk-Up Company production banner, with the company’s head of development Adam Londy executive producing alongside Orley.

The Hulu Original Series How I Met Your Father returns for its second season on Tuesday, January 24. New episodes will follow weekly on Hulu. 

Get ready for Moore … Mandy! The This Is Us alum has teamed up with the showrunners of the NBC hit for a new series, Twin Flames, on Hulu.

William Earl Variety’s annual Showrunners Dinner will return in-person on Sept. 8, to celebrate the year in television ahead of the 74th Emmy Awards. The event will be presented by A+E Studios and will feature opening remarks by Barry Jossen, president and head of A+E Studios.   The Creative Conscience Award will be given to writer and producer David E. Kelley for his prolific career in television. David remains one of the most influential figures in television – having created iconic roles for women in “Ally McBeal,” “Big Little Lies” and “Big Sky.” Kelley is a trailblazer for creating complex female characters on television, especially in his early career when such characters were unknown in primetime television.  

Some may argue we didn’t need a How I Met Your Mother spin-off show, but this nostalgic charm-fest earns the right to exist.
