'Irrational' Putin could let loose ultra-deadly new weapon in last bid to beat Ukraine

Vladimir Putin will use deadly thermobaric weapons to take Kyiv after the Ukrainian military stopped his first-wave blitzkrieg from taking the capital.Russia invaded Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday morning, sparking a wave of death and destruction across the country.

Putin’s troops immediately launched a push to take Kyiv – but have so far been unsuccessful due to unexpectedly dogged resistance from Ukraine’s military.Russia has never used its thermobaric weapons but it is believed they can cause serious destruction and lead to huge losses of life.The missiles are created using a highly explosive fuel and chemical mix, which send out supersonic blast waves when they make contact.Reports suggest the Russian Tos-1 Buratino weapons have crossed into Ukraine but they have not yet been used, according to the Telegraph.Officials, speaking to the Telegraph, said their use would cause “indiscriminate violence” due to the capabilities of destroying buildings.One official said they are "very concerned at the attitude they (Russian forces) would adopt" if Ukrainian resistance continued to hold up.”Russian forces have continued their attacks on Ukrainian cities with artillery and cruise missiles for a third day in a row.Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said the capital Kyiv remained in Ukrainian hands after the leader refused to leave the city following the US offer of evacuation.Kyiv's mayor Vitali Klitschko said there was currently no major Russian military presence in the city.However, he added that saboteur groups were active in Kyiv.Klitschko said 35 people, including two children, had been wounded overnight.According to news outlet Interfax, around 198 Ukrainians, including three children, have been killed with.
