THE Great British Menu's Ed Gamble lost a jaw-dropping seven stone after a teenage diabetes diagnosis. Ed, 35, is a judge on the BBC cookery show alongside chefs Tom Kerridge and Nisha Katona.
The handsome comedian has spoken openly about his diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes when he was 13 years old. However, his weight became a concern in his early 20s, leading him to take control of his health properly.
He told Entertainment Daily: "When I was 23 or 24, I lost a lot of weight and started trying to get on top of my lifestyle a bit.” While some celebs would go on a crash diet or try out the latest fad, Ed took a more sensible approach to develop a healthy relationship with food and exercise.
He told the Daily Star: “I didn’t do a crazy crash diet. I just changed my lifestyle – stopped the binge eating, stopped boozing for a while – and it just fell off. “Then I started getting into exercise and found I enjoyed it.” @font-face{font-family:'The Sun';src:url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.woff2') format('woff2'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.woff') format('woff'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.ttf') format('truetype'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.svg#') format('svg');font-style:normal;font-weight:400;font-display:swap;}@font-face{font-family:'The Sun';src:url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.woff2') format('woff2'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.woff') format('woff'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.ttf') format('truetype'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.svg#') format('svg');font-style:normal;font-weight:500;font-display:swap;}@font-face{font-family:'The Sun';src:url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-HeavyNarrow.woff2').
