The fact Cristiano Ronaldo is 200/1 with Betfred to score a hat-trick at the Etihad tomorrow says it all. Contrast that to Raheem Sterling’s odds of 40/1 - and there we have the differing fortunes of a superstar player who so normally can’t miss against an England international who still hasn’t got enough composure in front of goal.
I just wish Ronaldo could get a grip of his body language and cut out all the constant moaning to the ref. The bottom line is one of my all-time favourite players is struggling for form at the veteran stage of his career ...
and but for his name and the reaction it would cause, I cannot fathom out why he isn’t substituted more often by United boss Ralf Rangnick.
As for the result, just this once it’s a splinter job for me because I’m sitting firmly on the fence! It should be a cracker of a game, with both teams having something huge other than bragging rights to play for.
