Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers has updated his adoring fans on his health battle after revealing he's been back on his bike for the first time following chemotherapy.

The TV chef - who is part of the Hairy Bikers duo alongside Si King - revealed his diagnosis in May 2022, reports the Mirror.The 65-year-old has never confirmed the specific cancer he has, but has revealed that he's been through 30 bouts of chemotherapy over the past year.

The star - who also appeared on the BBC celebrity talent show Strictly Come Dancing - has also returned to his love of travelling, biking and cooking.Alongside his mate Si, the pair are now preparing to film their BBC show The Hairy Bikers Go West, which will see their journey from Scotland to Devon across eight episodes.Dave has now updated fans revealing that he's had to learn to ride his bike again after "gruelling" chemotherapy left him unable to walk.

In an update to fans, he said: “It’s been hard but I’m not the only one and I’m getting through it and I’m back at work."I’ve had to learn to walk again and ride my bike again, and to get on my bike again with Kingy in the sunshine brought tears to both our eyes.”The chef has described getting back on his beloved bike as a milestone moment for his recovery, after a particularly challenging treatment.He previously told The Times: “I’m doing all right.
