Love Island star Samie Elishi has shared a surgery update after fans alerted her to a large lump on her neck which could be cancerous.
Samie, 23, who appeared on the winter 2023 series of Love Island was made aware of the lump on her neck by eagled-eyed fans, who urged her to get it checked out.
She sought help and doctors found a 5cm lump on her thyroid which was classed as a grade three, meaning she would need surgery to check if it was cancerous.The TV star took to Instagram on Tuesday to update her fans and revealed that the surgery was "complete" while sharing a photo as she recovered in hospital. "This is me in recovery a bit out of it hahahaha" Samie wrote.
She went on to share with her 667K followers: "Surgery complete guys! "I feel absolutely fine, no drainage was needed or anything I'm very lucky. "I'm now on rest duty but will be vlogging the recovery.
