Love Island's winter series has reportedly been given the chop for a second time and won't be appearing on screens as planned in January 2024.
An exciting new 'all stars' series has been rumoured to take its place, featuring former islanders.Fans of the ITV dating reality show could be set to see some familiar faces return to the villa if the reports are true, as one source has confirmed the programme would feature former contestants who are still seeking to find love.
It's the second time the winter show has been axed, with the first series airing in 2020 and the second in 2023 after a three-year hiatus due to covid, and although the broadcaster has not confirmed the news, they have said Love Island will return in 2024.This could mean viewers will need to wait until summer next year to see any new faces looking for 'the one'.
But it does mean familiar previous contestants such as Maura Higgins, Megan Barton-Hanson and Georgia Steel could make an appearance on the new all stars show.
