The Glastonbury cancellation cost the festival five million. Organiser Emily Eavis, who runs the famous festival with her dad Michael, lifted the lid on the eye-watering sum the festival lost.
Speaking on Shaun Keaveny’s Wednesday BBC Radio 6 Music show, the organiser guru explained the losses were "very, very difficult" for Glastonbury.
She said: "Yeah no doubt about it. It was very difficult for us over that period. The cost of cancelling cost us five million pounds which is what we lost. "As a festival, we don't have a massive back up.
