Homesick half-back George Williams is reported to have agreed terms on his release from Canberra Raiders, according to an Australia newspaper.
The Canberra Times are reporting that a settlement has been reached that will see Williams receive two months’ pay, which would equate to around $100,000 as the England playmaker is reputed to be on annual salary of $600,000.
The Australian capital-based newspaper also reports that Williams will head home to England in the next three to four weeks - paying the way for his Super League return.
The 26-year-old is currently holidaying on the Gold Coast and is expected to secure a move to either Wigan Warriors or Warrington Wolves in the coming weeks.
