First human trials of UK's coronavirus vaccine began on Thursday, health chief confirms

One of the leading scientists in the UK government's coronavirus task force has revealed human testing of one potential vaccine has already begun.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Saturday morning, Professor Sir John Bell said human trials of a potential vaccine have begun at Oxford University, adding: "They have got a candidate vaccine, which I think went into man for the first time this week after a wide range of safety studies.
