Emergency services race to Braehead Soar after fire breaks out in electrical box sparking evacuation

Renfrew leisure hub was evacuated after a fire broke out in an electrical box. Emergency services were called to the scene at Braehead Soar shortly before 1.30pm on Saturday after the alarm was raised.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue sent four appliances to tackle the fire but found it had already been extinguished by the time they arrived.

Dozens of fun-seekers were removed as the building was evacuated.They waited patiently outside while fire crews inspected the electrical box.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We got called out to a report of a fire at Soar Braehead at 1:26pm."We had four pumps in attendance but the fire in a small electrical box had been extinguished before they got there.”She confirmed that all crews.
