Modern Family in Netflix series Griselda.Created by Eric Newman and Andrés Baiz (Narcos), the crime drama miniseries is inspired by the life of Griselda Blanco, a notorious drug trader who created one of the most powerful cartels in history.A synopsis reads: “Set in 1970s-80s Miami, Blanco’s lethal blend of unsuspected savagery and charm helps her expertly navigate between business and family, leading her to become widely known as ‘the Godmother’.”Other cast members in the series include Alberto Guerra, Martin Rodriguez, Vanessa Ferlito and Christian Tappan.Carlos Rafael Rivera composed the show’s score. The book, an urban epic that sprawls over 900 pages, traces the fallout from the shooting of an NYU freshman, culminating in New York’s infamous 1977 blackout a few months later. As the title implies, the plot is intimately bound up in a particular time and place. This is the era of “The Bronx Is Burning” and “FORD TO CITY: DROP DEAD,” where an arsonist group of Hallberg’s invention could seamlessly blend into a background of civic decline and hostile neglect.

pipe band is providing a little festive cheer online this year with a rousing rendition of a Christmas classic. Canada's Simon Fraser University Pipe Band were unable to lead the annual Santa Claus Parade in Vancouver due to Covid restrictions this month, so decided to do things a little differently this year.The organisation said that they wanted to continue to bring cheer to the community during these challenging times by letting people know that "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" with a fun bagpipe version of the hit song.Consistent with the pandemic lockdown restrictions, band members each recorded their pieces separately in their homes, and then they were combined together to produce the audio track and video clip.
