Ebanie Bridges has revealed she wants to take on rival Shannon Courtenay again in a rematch despite being left disfigured after their last fight.Bridges took on the Brit back in April 2021 where she suffered a defeat on points, allowing Courtenay to clinch the vacant WBA female bantamweight title.
The Aussie’s face was left badly disfigured and her eye was severely swollen after the 10 round bout.But with the Blonde Bomber winning the IBF bantamweight belt last month, she has now turned her attention to a rematch.
Bridges took to Instagram to celebrate the fight’s anniversary and ask her loyal fans if there should be a sequel.Bridges wrote: “1 year ago today me and my mate Shanny shared an amazing night together.
A fight that will be remembered by boxing fans for many years to come and a great night for women's boxing. It was my intro to the world stage, and what an intro.“As much as we have a strong rivalry it takes two to tango and we both played a part, so the respect is there.
