Serial offenders Mark Mayren, 34, and Alysha Clayton, 31, then fraudulently used a bank card they stole in the burglary at Reedsmere Close to go on a £520 fraudulent spending spree to fuel their drug, alcohol and substance addiction.

Their total haul of possessions and cash was £1,025. Mayren also admitted attacking police, headbutting, scratching and spitting at two officers when arrested, as well as a bizarre bid to escape by hiding in the roof above a hospital toilet cubicle
