The 37-year-old took to Twitter to ask her 344,000 followers to help her friend, a mother, and her two children, who are stuck in the northeast city of Kharkiv and struggling to get out.
Vladimir Putin ordered the internationally-condemned invasion of Ukraine last week and hundreds of civilians have since been killed or injured in the bloodshed.
Josie revealed on social media that her friend had travelled to mainland Europe before Putin sent his military into Ukraine.
