McGregor has had a long-running feud with UFC lightweight champion Nurmagomedov but put their differences aside to express his condolences.
Taking to Twitter, McGregor wrote: "The loss of a father, a coach, and a dedicated supporter of the sport. Condolences and rest in peace Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov." Nurmagomedov had been hospitalised in Moscow since May after getting diagnosed with coronavirus.
