This Morning’s bubbly presenter Alison Hammond has revealed just how she thinks she could mend the royal rift between brothers Prince William and Prince Harry.

Alison, who is back on our screens co-presenting The Great British Bake Off with Noel Fielding from Tuesday 24 September, has decided she would like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the series, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, too, in the hope that while they were trapped in the Bake Off tent with their cooking creations, they would reunite.

Over the years, plenty of celebrities - though no royals - have shown off their cooking skills, or lack of them, in the Bake Off tent for the charity Stand Up To Cancer celebrity specials, including former Doctor Who Jodie Whittaker, Friends star David Schwimmer, singer Paloma Faith, Spice Girl Mel B and Alison’s This Morning co-presenter, Dermot O’Leary.
