Conor McGregor explains major body transformation and weight he plans to return at
Conor McGregor has outlined his plans for his UFC return and also explained his mega body transformation during his injury lay-off.'The Notorious' is still undergoing rehab after breaking his leg in his defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 last July, but has had fans speculating over what weight he'll fight at next after packing on the muscle during his time away.McGregor, 33, was at the Bellator 275 event at the 3Arena in Dublin on Friday night, and in an interview with SevereMMA, responded to jibes he was now looking more like a light-heavyweight, as opposed to his customary featherweight or lightweight frame."I go up and down you know," he said."I trim but I'm just eating, and lifting [weights], and I'm not having to restrict."However, when asked directly what weight he was going to come back at, Mcgregor was non-committal."I'm not sure yet to be honest, 155 to 170 [lbs] I'd imagine."McGregor said he had been cleared to start sparring again in April, and hasn't ruled out an immediate bout with reigning UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira. Is Conor McGregor still amongst the best in the UFC? Let us know in the comments section. The Brazilian is currently negotiating a title defence against Justin Gaethje, but with the fight yet to be confirmed, the Irishman has suggested Oliveira would be better suited scrapping those proposals and facing him instead."Maybe if your man [Oliveira] is wise he'll give it another month or two. July? July seems ok for me.
