Conor McGregor has dropped to No.6 in the latest UFC lightweight rankings. The former two-weight world champion suffered a shock defeat by Dustin Porier in their rematch in Abu Dhabi last weekend.

McGregor was stopped in the second round as he suffered his second loss in his last three fights to leave him with a record of 3-3 in his last six bouts and 9-3 in the UFC overall.

McGregor had been ranked No.4 at lightweight behind Justin Gaethje, Poirier and Charles Oliviera but has now slipped below Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler.

Khabib Nurmagomedov remains the 155lb champion but is not expected to fight again while Poirier moves up to No.1 and is set for a title shot in his next bout.
