Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision to step back from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family has seen a great deal change in the past four years.

And, while Prince Harry has made a number of journeys back to the UK for events and significant charity engagements, Meghan has chosen not to follow suit.The last time the Duchess returned was for Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022 when the pair were already in the UK carrying out a handful of appearances.

With it frequently reported that Harry wishes to spend more time in the UK, a leading royal expert has explained the one change that will have to happen in order for this to take place.

Royal author Hugo Vickers told the Sun: "The real problem here is that Prince Harry is not going to come back without Meghan, unless, for some reason, they separate, or something goes badly wrong.
