Justin Gaethje has told Conor McGregor he must fight him before he can think about a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov. McGregor has one eye on the winner of Nurmagomedov's lightweight title defence against Tony Ferguson which is scheduled for next month.
The UFC hope to book McGregor's sequel with his Russian rival assuming Nurmagomedov comes through unscathed in New York. But lightweight contender Gaethje has other ideas - and insists McGregor must earn his shot at the 155lb champion. "I think I put myself in a great position to fight for a world title, to try to be the best in the world," he said. "If Conor wants to go past me, he has to go through me.
