Conor McGregor has thrown down the gauntlet for a showdown with Justin Gaethje - promising to “f****** butcher” the interim UFC Lightweight Champion.
Gaethje was in action at UFC 249 over the weekend, battering Tony Ferguson from pillar to post before stopping the 36-year-old in round five of their behind-closed-doors contest.
The American stepped in to face Ferguson after Khabib Nurmagomedov withdrew from the card, meaning he has now earned a shot at the current Lightweight Champion.
