West Lothian College held its first Sustainability Summit last month to allow staff and students to identify ways to make the college more sustainable.During the event normal activity at the college was suspended so that everyone could take part.The day started with a mini-conference featuring TEDX eco speakers Laura Young aka Less Waste Laura and Cameron McKay.There was also a free lunch with a marketplace in the college’s eMeal Café to showcase the sustainable businesses and activities which are now springing up in Scotland.In the afternoon there were practical sessions, ranging from litter picking, to seed planting, to discussions about how to reduce photocopying.Some classes created their own activities around the theme of
