Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson has branded Chelsea "pathetic" for requesting to have their FA Cup quarter-final fixture played behind-closed-doors.Due to current sanctions imposed on Blues owner Roman Abramovich, the west London side have sold less than 600 tickets for Saturday's game with their 4,500 allocation taken off sale last Thursday. The home side are expecting a bumper crowd at the Riverside Stadium with the Teessiders selling out their 35,000-seater stadium before reaching general sale.
Boro chairman Gibson has slammed the proposal whilst aiming a dig at the so-called "integrity" of Chelsea."I can’t believe it.
I can’t believe this excuse of a man, Bruce Buck. To try this is just unbelievable," Gibson told The Times."Sporting integrity and Chelsea do not belong in the same sentence.
