Pubs and restaurants will be banned from selling alcohol and will have to shut by 6pm ahead of Christmas, it has been announced.First Minister Mark Drakeford set out the tight new restrictions that will come into force on Friday (December 4).Cinemas, bowling alleys and other indoor entertainment venues will have to close under the new measures.The announcement comes just three weeks after the end of Wales’s 17-day firebreak lockdown and amid another rise in coronavirus cases particularly among under-25s in 17 of the country’s 22 local authorities.The new restrictions are set to be reviewed by December 17.Mr Drakeford told a press conference today that scientific and medical advisers believed unless further restrictions were put in place,.
