Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted he was not 100 per cent focused on every single match he played for the club before becoming captain.
Aubameyang was made club captain twelve months ago after Granit Xhaka was stripped of the armband following a clash with Gunners supporters.The 31-year-old was already a vital player for Arsenal but the captaincy has elevated his game.And he lifted two trophies for the club this year thanks to a brace in the FA Cup win over Chelsea and a solo effort in the Community Shield victory over Liverpool at the start of the season.But it seems the captaincy has forced Aubameyang to show greater interest in Arsenal's match and become someone that players can look towards.
