Rising Canadian star Deragh Campbell has been cast in two indie dramas ahead of the Toronto Film Festival. Campbell will appear in Kazi Radwanski's latest character drama Matt and Mara, alongside Matt Johnson.
She and Johnson starred in Radwanski's Anne at 13,000 Ft., with Campbell playing a troubled young woman trying to navigate daily life in an indie that debuted TIFF in 2019.
Campbell in Radwanski's latest movie project will play the role of Mara, a young professor struggling through marriage, only to meet Matt (Johnson), a man from her past who wanders onto her university campus.
Medium Density Fibreboard Films is producing Matt and Mara, which is to be shot in Ontario, with Dan Montgomery in the role as producer.
