It was yet another disappointing day for Manchester United as they once again took the lead in a match but didn't come away the winners.
Saturday's draw with Southampton was the third successive game in which that has happened following the FA Cup elimination to Middlesbrough and Wednesday's stalemate with Burnley, all three of which ended 1-1.
This time around it was Jadon Sancho, who has been the one bright spark in recent weeks, who gave United the lead as he tapped in Marcus Rashford's cross to finish off a sweeping counter-attack in the first half.
But United were once more caught napping just after the break and the Saints deservedly equalised through a lovely Che Adams finish.
