‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ TV Series Scrapped at Hulu, Will Not Be Shopped Elsewhere

Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Hulu’s TV adaptation of Sarah J. Maas’s romantasy book series “A Court of Thorns and Roses” has been scrapped, Variety has confirmed.

The project, which had been in the development stage at the Disney-owned streamer since March 2021, is not being shopped to other platforms by its studio, 20th Television, which is also owned by Disney.

Maas was working on the “ACOTAR” (as its known to fans) series scripts alongside “Outlander” creator Ronald D. Moore. Representatives for Hulu, 20th and Maas did not immediately respond to request for comment.
