Data shows more than 18,000 new vacancies were posted in the region from September 20-26, bringing the total number of active job adverts to 111,230.

It includes more than 4,000 nursing roles, 300 teachers, 600 plumbers, 350 carpenters and nearly 1,800 warehouse workers. The figures are from the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC)’s latest Job Recovery Tracker - which tracks the number of job adverts and the different sectors they are in.
