West Ham have given midfielder Andriy Yarmolenko some time off after the Russian invasion of his home country Ukraine left him “not in a good place”.Hammers boss David Moyes revealed the 32-year-old has not been training ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Wolves.Yarmolenko, who has an astonishing 106 caps and 44 goals for the Ukraine national team, has been left feeling distressed over the Russian aggression which has caused panic and devastation back home. And Moyes’ comments suggest Yarmolenko is unlikely to feature on Sunday, though the east London club are keeping in touch and ready to help the player. The Scot said: “He’s not in a really good place at the moment so we’ve given him a few days off.“We’ll certainly help him.”Yarmolenko is in his fourth season with the Hammers since joining back in the summer of 2018.He has made 21 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring and assisting in the Europa League.Meanwhile, compatriot Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to feature for Manchester City in their clash with Everton on Saturday.Want to be on the ball with all of the latest football news?Well then sign up for the brilliant Daily Star football email newsletter! From the latest transfer news to the agenda-setting stories, get it all in your email inbox - don't miss a thing. It only takes a matter of seconds.Simply type your email address into the box at the top of this article and hit 'subscribe'.And that's it, job done.
