Sadie Sink on “super emotional” final season of ‘Stranger Things’: “I’m ready to cry with everyone”
Stranger Things star Sadie Sink has addressed the upcoming final season of the show, saying she is “ready to cry with everyone”.The fifth season of the Netflix sci-fi hit, which is slated for release this year, recently finished filming, though details on what will happen are still under wraps for now. However, Sink – who has played Max Mayfield since season two – has teased an emotional final chapter for the Hawkins residents.“I haven’t seen anything from it yet, I’m very curious though,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s going to be super emotional so I’m ready to cry with everyone.”Recalling the final day of filming, Sink added: “I had cried so much that my eyes were so puffy – they had never been like that before and there are some pretty embarrassing photos of me just with these giant puffy eyes.”Despite being planned for release in 2025, show creators the Duffer brothers suggested last month that a premiere this year could be “quite the push”.“Right now, we’re just cutting all the visual effects sequences for the show so they can get started on those, so that they can be running in time for a release,” Matt Duffer told Variety.“A lot of it hasn’t been decided, in terms of exactly the release dates and cadence,” he added.
