Temperatures are set to fall off a cliff next week as snow returns to the UK following a brief hot spell.This week saw the hottest day of the year so far as the mercury hit 21C but, as always with our weather, that couldn't last forever.
According to advanced weather modelling maps from WX Charts, the white stuff is set to return one day next week as temperatures nosedive.
On Thursday March 31, they forecast flurries in Scotland, northern parts of England and Wales. Scotland is set to be the most afflicted region with up to three inches of snow settling on the ground in Highland areas and near to both Aberdeen and Inverness.
There will also be snow in the North West, just north of Manchester, were one or two centimetres should land. Northern parts of Wales and the North East of England should also see snow, but not enough for it to settle.
