UK's Easter heatwave is set to bring our hottest temperature of the year so far for one hour tomorrow, according to one weather forecaster. The current highest temperature recorded this year was 20.5C in Northolt, West London back in March, but that soon should be blown out of the water. For the past few weeks forecasters have been teasing an Easter weekend scorcher which looks set to start tomorrow afternoon.According to Netweather, Brits will be basking in a glorious 22C heat on Friday (April 15) at around 4pm.Luckily, given the absence of any severe winds, Netweather say that it will really feel like 22C.That reading is just for London, but other forecasters say the mercury will also be soaring elsewhere in the UK.Met Office meteorologist Annie Shuttleworth said the East of England will see the best of the weather with temperatures climbing up to 22C today and tomorrow.
Agreeing with those predictions Jim Dale, a meteorologist for British Weather Services, told The Sun: "The trend is for temperatures to rise. "If things play out, we could be looking at 20C or 21C in the south over Easter." The Met Office's outlook for Thursday predicts "spells of warm sunshine" for many Brits, with more of that to come over the weekend.
Given the balmy forecast, bookmakers have been forced to slash their odds for this weekend being the hottest Easter on record.
