Thania Garcia Mercury Records has upped Tyler Arnold to chairman and CEO and Ben Adelson to president and COO, the label announced Wednesday. The executives previously held the titles of president and general manager, respectively, when they first re-launched Mercury Records in 2022. Arnold and Adelson will report to Monte Lipman, Republic Collective founder, and Founder, Vice-Chairman and COO Avery Lipman.

Thania Garcia AJR has signed with Mercury Records, the Universal Music label that recently relaunched via Republic Records. The New York-based trio of brothers Adam (vocals/bass), Jack (vocals/guitar), and Ryan (guitar/piano/vocals) Met, are currently in the midst of the U.S.

Jem Aswad Senior Music EditorRepublic Records is relaunching the Mercury imprint as an “extension” of the label, the company announced Monday. The move is similar to Atlantic’s relaunch of Elektra and Interscope’s of Geffen, an effort to split the parent label’s large roster so that artists receive more attention.

Republic Records is the first label to team with the Grammy Museum on a new program series featuring up-and-coming artists called Spotlight Saturdays. Next month, Republic is using the platform to spotlight Kiana Ledé (Aug. 1), BENEE (Aug. 8), Conan Gray (Aug. 15), DUCKWRTH (Aug. 22) and Jeremy Zucker (Aug. 29).
