Republic Records is the first label to team with the Grammy Museum on a new program series featuring up-and-coming artists called Spotlight Saturdays.
Next month, Republic is using the platform to spotlight Kiana Ledé (Aug. 1), BENEE (Aug. 8), Conan Gray (Aug. 15), DUCKWRTH (Aug.
22) and Jeremy Zucker (Aug. 29). Four of the five artists are in their early 20s. The exception is DUCKWRTH, a stage name for rapper Jared Lee.
He is 32. BENEE’s “Supalonely” (featuring Gus Dapperton), one of the year’s most irresistible singles, has been a fixture on the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks.
