Met Office has said that a mini weekend heatwave is set to bring potentially record-breaking temperatures to the UK today and tomorrow.
In their latest video weather forecast meteorologist Helen Roberts said: "For central and eastern areas there will be some bright and sunny spells, and in that sunshine [it will be] feeling really quite warm."For this afternoon (Friday April 15) they predict that temperatures in and around London will hit 22C.
If this is the case it will top the current highest recorded temperature of the year so far which was 20.5C in Northolt, West London back in March.
According to the Met Office, the Midlands and the South should hover at around 18C to 19C this afternoon, with the mercury jumping between 14C to 16C elsewhere in the UK.
