There’s been an awful lot of family drama for Coleen Nolan to contend with lately, so it’s hardly surprising the Loose Women star, 58, has been feeling under a lot of pressure.
During a debate on the ITV chat show about empty nest syndrome, an emotional Coleen admitted she “couldn’t stop crying” over the fact that her daughter Ciara, 22, is going travelling – and she has no idea when she’s coming back.
She told co-stars Ruth Langsford, Janet Street-Porter and Linda Robson her daughter has booked a one-way ticket out of the UK, for a trip she’s been planning with her boyfriend for two years.
Coleen added, “But they have no set date on when they’re coming back. They’ve saved up and I’m so proud of them both, but honestly, I just can’t stop crying.” Ciara moved out of the family home last October, but Coleen – who is also a doting mum to her grown-up children Shane, 35, and Jake, 31 – has clearly been hit hard by her daughter’s overseas adventure.
