Sign up today for the best stories straight to your inboxA trio of friends went on quite the journey to get their favourite curry – a plane ride featuring a 200-mile round trip.Daniel Sabhani, 53, flew mates Simon Ledger, 43 and Mike Figg, 39, from Sandown on the Isle of Wight to Lahore Spice, near Harrow, north-west London, in his light aircraft.Flying in his little Cirrus SR22 took less than an hour each way – including a 15-minute cab ride.They flew at speeds of up to 120mph (104 knots) and at 5,000 feet from Sandown Airport to Elstree Aerodrome so they could grab their dinner.Once they arrived, the hungry trio jumped in a cab for 15 minutes which took them to Daniel's favourite curry.
