These new streets signs put up directly behind battered old ones have left people scratching their heads. But council bosses have explained there's a method to the apparent madness.
The signs have been erected on Dawpool Drive in Bromborough on the Wirrall, and residents have been confused as to their purpose, the Liverpool Echo reports.
A no entry sign already existed near the entrance to the street, yet a new sign was placed directly behind it- with the new sign almost completely hidden by the old, dirty sign. Some people have taken to social media to share their frustration at the 'waste of money' installation. One person said: "Wow now that is a ridiculous waste of time and money!" Another person added: "How pointless, the other sign is right behind it." However some have offered a possible explanation for why the signs have been erected.
