Theo Walcott has revealed why he turned down offers from Chelsea and Liverpool before agreeing a move to Arsenal in 2006. The 31-year-old signed for the Gunners for a reported £5million fee, having enjoyed a rapid rise through the Southampton Academy to the first-team.
Walcott made 21 Championship appearances for the Saints prior to this Premier League switch and attracted widespread interest having become the youngest-ever player to represent the club as well as the youngest senior goalscorer.
