Tributes have been paid to a loving 102-year-old who survived losing her arm in the Second World War but died after contracting coronavirus.
Mary Kathleen McKenna, known by friends and family as 'Mollie,' passed away at a care home in south Manchester last week, a few days after testing positive for COVID-19.
She was a much-loved Great Auntie, who acted as a mother to her niece Patricia and a grandmother and great-grandmother to her beloved family.
Although her death is extremely tragic, her life tells an incredible story of bravery and independence. Born in 1917, Mollie grew up in Withington with her parents and seven siblings - two of whom sadly passed away when she was a little girl.
