Could you fritter away £200 on a big Zara order, forgetting that you’ve got clothes at home with the tags still on?If one good thing has come out of the months spent in lockdown, it might be that the UK has experienced something of an epiphany when it comes to shopping.Having nothing to do with our spare time has given us the opportunity to think about how much we used to spend on things we didn’t really need, as well as ponder rather than pounce on what we might want to buy in the future.

I’ve bought one dress and one pair of sandals in three months, rather than, well, a lot more than that, in a usual spring season.
