From the beginning, if Nirvana and Kurt Cobain were known for being grumpy and sullen, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters seemed to have a more optimistic tone.

From music videos like Michel Gondry‘s wacky “Everlong” video and their Mentos-friendly video for “Big Me,” perhaps due to the tragedy that the band was born from, Grohl was definitely presenting a different mood and tone and one that featured a lot of comedy.
