Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed it will not axe Russian dancers Katya Jones and Luba Mushtuk from its professional line-up amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The popular BBC dancing show has confirmed the stars for the new series after dancer Katya finally spoke out condemning the atrocities committed by Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Katya, 32, who hails from Saint Petersburg, also addressed rumours that there had been tension behind the scenes between the pros from Russia and Ukraine.
Reports suggest Katya and Luba were rowing behind the scenes with Ukranian dancers Nikita and Nadiya Bychkova, and that the Russian pros had been told by their co-stars they must condemn the war publicly or not come back.She told former contestant Sara Davies on today's Morning Live: "This is obviously total nonsense."You've seen first hand how supportive we're all of each other always.
