Russia promoting 'Siberian staycation' to Putin's personal hotspots following flight ban

Russia begins promoting its "Siberian staycation" amid its ongoing flight ban. Russians hoping to jet off abroad this year will have no luck doing so since the flight ban and bank card cancellation effects of Russia's invasion of Ukraine are still ongoing.

The 1,200 kilometre rout through Krasnoyarsk, Khakasia and Tuva includes some of the Russian despot's favourite holiday hotspots.Flight bans levelled at Russia due to the ongoing war in Ukraine have left many Russians wondering what domestic holidays are on offer to them.

Travel bans restrict Russian nationals from entering a number of European countries as well as the United States and UK. A package deal to Siberia could be on the cards for many though, following in the footsteps of the Russian president, who is frequently spotted holidaying in the area.It promises to take visitors to "the places where the president loves to relax" although the exact locations will be unavailable as the Kremlin has yet to reveal the Putin holiday photo locations.
